Terms of Service
The rules for using LegalResume, its AI features and the AI Pass, in plain language.
Last updated 3 November 2026
1Who we are and accepting these terms
LegalResume is operated by LegalResume (Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India). By creating an account or using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2The service
LegalResume offers a resume editor, templates, exports, a rule-based ATS checker and optional AI features that write or review resume text. Some features need a free account. Higher AI usage is available with a paid AI Pass.
3Your account
- You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. Keep access to that inbox secure; anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
- Give accurate information and use one account per person.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using it.
4AI Pass and payments
- The AI Pass is a one-time, prepaid purchase for a fixed number of days. The price, length and AI limits are shown on the Pricing page before you pay.
- It does not renew automatically. Buying again while a pass is active adds the new days after the current end date.
- AI uses are counted over a rolling time window and shared between the AI Resume Builder and the AI ATS review. Limits exist to keep the service fair and affordable and may differ between free and paid plans.
- Payments are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. We never receive your card or UPI details.
- We may change prices or limits for future purchases. A pass you have already paid for keeps the terms it was sold with.
- Refunds are handled under our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5AI-generated content
- AI suggestions can be wrong, incomplete or worded in ways that do not suit you. Always review and edit them before you use them.
- Do not ask the AI to invent qualifications, employers, dates or results. You are responsible for the truth of your resume.
- Resume text you send to the AI features is processed by our AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy.
6Acceptable use
- No illegal, misleading, hateful or infringing content.
- No automated scraping, bulk account creation, or attempts to get around usage limits or payments.
- No attempts to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service.
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Paid time lost through suspension for misuse is not refunded.
7Your content and data retention
Your resumes belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the service for you. Saved resumes are kept for a limited period (see the Privacy Policy) and may be deleted after that, so export anything you want to keep.
8Our content
The site design, templates, code and branding belong to LegalResume. You may use the templates to create and share your own resumes, but not to resell or redistribute the templates themselves.
9Availability and changes
We work to keep the service running, but it is provided “as is” and may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may add, change or remove features over time.
10Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, LegalResume is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost job opportunities, arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any claim about a paid pass is limited to the amount you paid for that pass.
11Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Agra, Uttar Pradesh have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any rights you have as a consumer.
12Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page, and for important changes we will let signed-in users know. Continuing to use the service means you accept the new terms.
